My video project "Constants" is a collection of clips showing different forms of movement from various locations, with a poem I have written about movement spoken over a calm music bed. The work emphasizes the constant movement that happens within our reality, even when we are experiencing "stillness." This plays on the human condition of perception, our concept of time, and the nature of human experience. The central character is intentionally subjective and can be seen from the cameraperson's perspective or the viewer's, again playing with the idea of audience perception; however, the main star is the constant movement that is prevalent throughout the work, whether it is through the video clips, the poem, or the music.
